Glitter Toes

Aidan and I went to a "Glitter Toe" party yesterday at Jennifer Riley's house. I thought it would be fun bonding time for Aidan and I, but there were lots of kids there to play with so Aidan disappeared shortly after we got there and I sat and chatted with Jennifer and Katie Hoogland-Adams. It was really fun to catch up, and here how it turned out.

Happy 5th Birthday Bo

Today was Bo-man's 5th birthday and he was in heaven.

He only has school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and his birthday landed on a Thursday, so he got to take (his favorite) donuts to school yesterday and the kids sang happy birthday while he got to pass out the donuts all by himself.

This morning when he woke up he was grumpy because he said "you guys didn't get me a birthday present."  I guess he thought we would bring it up stairs when we woke him up, we all giggled.  When he went down for breakfast he lit up like a Christmas Tree.

Mom and dad bought him the Hot Wheels Beat That race track that he has been wanting for SSSOOOOO long. Brian and I spent 30 minutes trying to put the thing together, just to find out when we were done that it wouldn't turn on......UGGGGhh.

So I took Bo back to Walmart and he decided he wanted a big Nerf gun instead. So we gotthat home and it was broke too!!!! double UGGGGhhh.  So we went back to Walmart and Bo decided he wanted to try a remote controlled 4 wheeler and he still had enough money left over to get a smaller Nerf gun. Good choices because the 4 wheeler is a hit, and the Nerf gun is way better and easier for him to control than the big gun. We also bought him some "silly string." I had no idea, but my kids had never seen silly string before and thought it was awesome. So we spend about 3 minutes teaching the kids the art of the silly string...spraying it all over the back yard, spraying grandpa with it, rolling it into a squishy ball pretending to sneeze it out of our nose etc etc etc. Fun Fun!

Bo hung out with dad for the afternoon, they watched a movie and went on a bike ride to the park while mommy and the girls headed down to the Health Department to get our H1N1 flu mist (I took Bo yesterday because he had to get the shot not the flu mist and the line was around the building, we had to wait an hour and a half)

When we got back we made Bo cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday.

The Big "A"

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The day after my birthday we woke up EARLY EARLY and drove to Anaheim. Brian and I had lunch with the executives of WeSC, But we really went to Anaheim to see our Angels woop up on the Yankees in game 4 of the Post Season. After our meeting we high-taled it on over to Angel's Stadium otherwise known as "The Big A." We cheered, we booed, we whined, we yelled at the umps, we ate hot dogs, we ate cotton candy, we had peanuts, licorrice, and pretzels...we even shook our rally monkeys. It was awesome, except one thing.......the Angels got ROCKED by the Yankees 10-1. Oh well....

We ended up getting back on the road to Vegas at about 8:30pm. We didn't get home until 1:00 in the morning. The drive home was horrable, Mac drove the entire way there and the entire way home and I honestly dont know how it was even possible. There would have been a zero percent chance that I could have drove 8:30-1:00am after we woke up so early. So thanks for driving Mac while we all snored in the back seat.  And thanks to mom for taking Bo to work with her, and leaving work early to pick up the girls from school.

The Big 3-0

Well the day has come. The day I have been dreading for about 3 years now. I am officially now 30 years old. All in all it was a fun day. Navie woke up extra early, so she could make me breakfast in bed before she had to get ready for school (which is amazing, because normally I have to BEAT her out of bed in the morning). She quietly got out of bed, woke daddy, and they made me scrambled eggs and toast and brought it up to me. It was AWESOME!!

My mom treated me to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. YUMmmmm!!

When I got home Desiree was at my house delivering a big balloon bouquet and cookies, isn't that so sweet. She never ever forgets my birthday.....EVER.

Brian picked the kids up from school and took them to the mall to pick out a present for me. While I had a nice nap on the couch :)

Then they made me a Birthday cake and sang me Happy Birthday.

The First Day of School

So this is the first year I will have all three kids in school and needless to say........I am excited.  Monday morning was like Christmas, Navie came in at 3:30am and said, "mom we have to get ready for school remember?"  I finally convinced her to go back to bed for a couple more hours, then she came back in at 4:50am, 5:30 and finally at 6:00am I just said ok and got out of bed.  Bo's Preschool doesn't start until Tuesday of next week so he was not to happy with the whole situation.  We have been hangin out just the two of us for a couple days now and he is a funny boy when he is all by himself.  He asks the wierdest questions like, "mom, am I a real boy?"  "Yes Bo you are a real boy."  "But mom, am a special boy?"  "Oh yes you are a very special boy."  "Oh.......(long pause).........who does this special boy belong to?" "You belong to me."  ...............(long pause) "I dont think thats right mom."  I just cracked up.....Anyway, Navie and Aidan love to go to school............we'll see how long that lasts :)
